TO ALL MY LITERATURE 9 STUDENTS...

GREETINGS!

I have two important messages for all of you and one of which is with regards to your upcoming Mastery Test in OMAM on Monday, if you belong to Literature 9B or Literature 9C, or Tuesday, if you belong to Literature 9A.

FIRST...your MT is going to be divided into two parts. The first part is going to focus more on Modified True or False, Sequential Order, and Matching Type (which character do the given lines refer to). The second part is going to be an open novel essay/paragraph writing session.

SECOND...I am going to finalize your groupings for our R&J scene performances by next week so better be ready in case you have decided to make changes. I know for a fact that NAT and BELL's groups are the only ones who came up to me and said that they are changing their scenes, I am not sure about BILL's group though, but these are the people I am going to give priority to when we discuss about the groupings and scene adjustments next week. OIL...you have to find a group to join for this project since it is going to be a major grade for your Third Quarter mark...do not expect your classmates to find you!

That's All Folks! Have a great weekend...and in case you have some spare time in your hands tomorrow, we have a Basketball Tournament over at EIS (Ekamai International School) the whole day tomorrow...come support your school team if you can...! Take care and be safe always...CIAO!!!

TO ALL MY LITERATURE 9 STUDENTS...

A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR GREETINGS TO ALL OF YOU!

FIRST...as promised...I am about to post the names of those who owe me a detention...for speaking Thai or Chinese in my presence...however, being a New Year and all that, instead of letting people serve three...four...five...or even six detentions, I am going to be merciful and have all detention "winners" serve only ONE...so please do not say I am cruel...HAHAHA (evil laugh!)! Here it goes...and the winners are...

LITERATURE 9A...Gun; Jacky; Timmy; Coco; Woiy; Rida; Cindy; and Asong...
LITERATURE 9B...TT; Maesaa; Kent; Toom; Jan; Frank; Mark; Ploy; Boss; and May...
LITERATURE 9C...Pot; Jack-C; Wei Yao; James; Nina; Jay-P; Poun; Howard; and Bill...

Hopefully, if people are smart enough, you will start taking my ENGLISH ONLY! rule seriously this second semester...or maybe not...your choice!

SECOND...for the poems I asked you to choose from for our choral recitation, all you have to do at this point is to find your group mates for it and choose your poem and start memorizing...that's all! I will tell you more about it we get back to school.

That's All Folks!!! See you all back in school on Tuesday, 08 January 2008...your days of missing me is almost over...! Oh, and yes, we are going to start off our Second Semester with a Literary Terms Test...so be prepared for it! Enjoy what's left of the holidays...be safe and God Bless...! CIAO!!!

TO ALL MY LITERATURE 9 STUDES...

A Very Merry Christmas once again to all of you! Here are two very important reminders for one and all...please make sure you keep it in mind.

FIRST...start posting your Romeo & Juliet groupings together with your Scene Choice here on this blog...please be reminded that this is a first-come first serve basis...meaning no scene can be repeated by any group even if they are from different Literature classes...! So, before you post your group and your scene choice...PLEASE check the earlier posts first just to be sure you won't be wasting your time...!

SECOND...when we get back from the holidays, I'm gonna start dishing out Detention Slips to everyone who owes me one or two or three or four or even five detentions for speaking Thai or Chinese in my presence...nothing personal...just rules! Besides...it's already the Second Semester...which means you should've learned by now that in my class...Rules Are A Must! Next week, I will be releasing the names of the people who are guilty as charged with such violations...stay tuned!

That's All Folks! Take care all of you and be safe always...do send my warm wishes to your entire family...be good and do your holiday work little by little so as not to cram it all up at the end of the vacation---do not procrastinate! God Bless...CIAO!!!

TO ALL MY LITERATURE 9 STUDENTS...

GREETINGS!

Here are your Christmas Holiday homework/assignments for our break...

FIRST...reread Of Mice and Men and if you have not done so, make sure to take notes on it in your NB or on a WSP; try to analyze the Theme, Plot, Conflict, Symbolisms, and Foreshadowing issues involved in the story!

SECOND...our next story from your text is going to be Poison by Roald Dahl, pages 80-89; if you have nothing else better to do...start reading and taking notes on it; if you want, you may also start answering Making Meanings numbers 2-9 on page 91 and Reading Check letters a-e on the same page!

THIRD...start finding your group mates for your Romeo & Juliet play presentation which you will be performing sometime second week of March 2008; make sure you have the right number of people your scene requires...if there are four characters in the scene you chose, then there has to be four people in your group; first come-first serve basis for scene reservations; the shorter your scene choice is, the higher my expectation will be; begin memorizing your parts and start preparing for it!

FOURTH...choose from any of the given poem titles below and find six to eight other people you can recite it with; when I say recite, I mean proper recitation with feelings and emotions, proper pauses, and in unison; think of it in terms of a choral recitation!
- The Lesson Of The Moth (p.140)
- Daily (p.495)
- I Wandered Lonely As A Cloud (p.510)
- Beware: Do Not Read This Poem (p.531)
- The Seven Ages Of Man (pp.536-537)
- The Gift (p.564)
- Fifteen (p.571)
- The Girl who Loved The Sky (pp.576-577)
- Ain't I A Woman? (p.611)
- Your Laughter (p.853)

That's All Folks! Have A Very Merry Christmas & A Blessed and Prosperous New Year 2008 to you and your entire family...! Enjoy your holidays...CIAO!!!
